Kaylann Driver received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Woman’s University. She spent eight years working at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she gained invaluable experience in multiple areas, including hematology/oncology, palliative care, surgical oncology, and the COVID-19 units. During this time, she cared for patients facing life-altering and terminal illnesses, often encountering mental health challenges that were not being adequately addressed. This inspired her to pursue further education in mental health care by earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the University of Texas at Tyler.
As a PMHNP, Kaylann is committed to integrating holistic approaches within the biopsychosocial model of care while maintaining compassionate and therapeutic relationships with her patients. Her goal is to help individuals navigate mental health challenges, ensuring that both their physical and emotional needs are met with empathy and comprehensive care.
Kaylann is an active member of several professional organizations and is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest evidence-based practices in psychiatric mental health and nursing. She values continuous learning to provide her patients with the most current and effective treatments.
When Kaylann is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They love going camping, spending time outdoors, and participating in various sports activities together.
